Cancellation Policy

Tutoring Policy PARTIES – This agreement is between the parent or guardian and Diana Ruben d/b/a Afterschool Tutoring 4 You. Any party directed by Diana Ruben to offer supplemental assistance is bound by the conduct standards, fee agreement, and policy set forth below. FEE AGREEMENT – The hourly tutoring rate is $30.00 per hour. The hour includes 55 minutes of tutoring and 5 minutes reserved to check in before sessions or after sessions to discuss progress. Each session is a minimum of 1 hour per child unless otherwise agreed upon. The fee can be paid in advance or at the beginning of each tutoring session. If you would like to pay in advance, you may use credit/debit cards via our website, or the options of Cash, Cash App, Zelle, or money order in person. SCHEDULING POLICY – Sessions can be scheduled weekly with possible adjustments made after timely notice. Please contact me at my cell number, (225-937-4324) if the session needs to be rescheduled. If I don’t hear from you, I will plan to meet with the student at the set scheduled time. I will wait fifteen (10) minutes, after scheduled session time, if no-show the session will be forfeited and Student will be charged for the 1 hour session that was originally scheduled, which will be due upon beginning of next session. The tutoring session may be cancelled by parent up to 24 hours before the scheduled time with no cancellation fee. To cancel a session, call or text my cell phone. The tutor may cancel the session due to weather, holidays and illness. Parents are responsible for having students bring specialized materials that are required for subject areas being tutored during the session. Students are responsible for items including but not limited to: textbooks, graphing calculators, and workbooks. GUARANTEE POLICY – The Parties (tutor and guardian/parent) acknowledge and agree that the parent understands that the sessions does not guarantee any specific outcomes because of tutoring. I will provide a service to help the student succeed. The rest depends on the student’s effort. CANCELLATION OF SERVICE POLICY – This tutoring contract may be terminated by either party at any time by giving the other party seven days’ prior notice. Grounds for cancellation by tutor consist of non-payment, frequent cancellations of sessions, and child misconduct. If Parent is not satisfied with a Tutor’s performance or Academic progress of student, they may end services.
