Afterschool Tutoring 4 You is proud to be an approved provider for the Steve Carter Tutoring Program, a Louisiana Department of Education initiative that helps students build strong foundations in literacy and math. As a state‑approved provider, we meet Louisiana’s standards for high‑quality instruction, student safety, and proven academic impact.
Through the program, eligible families can access no‑cost, high‑dosage tutoring tailored to each student’s needs. Our licensed educators use research‑based strategies to strengthen reading, writing, number sense, problem‑solving, and overall confidence.
We offer small‑group and one‑on‑one sessions, closely monitoring progress and keeping parents informed. By partnering with the Steve Carter Program, we help Louisiana families access high‑quality academic support without financial barriers.
Afterschool Tutoring 4 You is also an approved provider for the LA GATOR Program, Louisiana’s new Education Savings Account initiative.
LA Gator gives families more choice in their child’s education. Administered by the Louisiana Department of Education, LA GATOR provides eligible families with state‑funded accounts that can be used for approved services such as tutoring, curriculum, educational therapies, technology, and private school tuition.
As a participating provider, Afterschool Tutoring 4 You offers research‑based literacy and math support that families can select using their LA GATOR funds, helping students strengthen core skills and access personalized learning opportunities.

About
Afterschool Tutoring 4 You
My name is Diana Ruben, the creator of Afterschool Tutoring 4 You.
I am a member of the National Tutoring Association and a full-time Louisiana licensed educator. I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My experience includes training and certification in early childhood development.
With over 14 years of experience helping children and adults reach breakthroughs in learning, Afterschool Tutoring 4 You is my way to give all students an opportunity to get private lessons.
I offer daily homework support, study skills and standardized test preparation, including the ACT and SAT, LEAP and iLEAP, in both individual and group sessions.
This program is inclusive of differently abled students with learning barriers such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, ADD, and autism spectrum disorders. Our goal is to build up the confidence of each student while incorporating the parents in promoting that student's successful learning.
